East central Iowa | When you sign the lease, you lose control over a lot of aspects of your farm. For example, you are limited to where, how high, how many, etc. structures that you can build. If the wind company feels that the structure would interfere with the operation of a turbine, you can't build it the way you want to or you can't build it at all, for the duration of the lease.
