This is from Tama County, iowa. The battle has been going on for over 2 years and is finally going away. Two companies were in the area. One has cancelled the leases and the other has law suits against it and is declaring bankruptcy. A tremendous amount of information has come out about turbine leases and the more that comes out, the worse it gets. One aspect that turned me off was that the lease wasn't for a specific plot of land. The lease allowed them access to 100% of the land owned by the farmer. And if he bought an adjoining piece of ground, that automatically was included in the lease. The lawyer working for the county group was successful in stopping a wind farm in a nearby community, so he had experience. It's depressing to read about all the bad side effects caused by wind turbines that the companies won't tell you about.

I've asked several Tama county residents about that very group. Apparently the number of them that actually live in the county or even the state is relatively small and inconsequential. Many of the contributors are typical anti wind hacks.
