We all lost Dad in a tractor accident when he and Mom were 60. Mom always wanted to travel, so she took all 9 of her grand kids, one at a time between their Junior and Senior year of high school, somewhere different in the world. My two were the oldest............so they kicked things off. Mom got to see the world.............and got to know her grand kids each one on one. It was pretty cool. She's still traveling with other family members now at 80 years old............but finished up with the youngins a few years back.
Great that your mom was able to have lasting experiences with all her grandkids! Kudos to her for being brave and taking the initiative to do that! |
