The symptoms are pointing to too great of gate height for the target rate.

What is your conveyor rate and gate height set to?
The conveyor rate is the setting for 1" gate opening! DO NOT CHANGE THIS FOR DIFFERENT GATE HEIGHT!
Change the gate height setting in the monitor and it does the math internally.
You may need to fine tune the conveyor rate for the different gate heights.

If you put in a bigger conveyor rate for increased gate height you will have troubles.
A starting # for most New Leader spreaders is .256 (different for some models)

Try a response 1 of 10 and response 2 of 8. I had a customer with a couple of 1200's last week that we needed to change to these.

Another thing if you switched from an edge to Incommand and back make sure the module firmware matches the monitor.
