That would be the difference between a 360 count and a 180 count sensor then. DJ sensors have a sticker with the count numbers on them. New Leader typically used 180 count on new beds but the AgChem beds often had 360 count on them from new.

Also worth noting, raven shaft sensors are only 5 volt and seem to fail far quicker than the DJ ones. DJ sensors can be powered from 5 to 12 volt though the output wire expects a 5 volt signal.

The point about odd sensors- almost always the gearbox seals give out and fertilizer gets inside the gearboxes eventually. This causes rust and scale to form on the gears. When someone puts a pickup in the fill plug hole, these will magnetically attract rust bits. This will stop such a sensor from working right.
That's not a common factory method though as far as I know. I don't know about all different brands out there.
