Just pick up the phone with a different brand x dealer that you have done your homework on their hybrids already and explain the situation. You want their best deal for spot, uncommitted bags and tell them you are patient enough to give the dealer a few days for the dealer to talk through your situation with the his/her DSM.
My guess is that you have >50 % odds that “your deal” will be better than you even think by a decent margin and the brand x DSM wins by leveraging the “generalities of your situation” with all his/her sales reps to get them back out into the country and talking to folks and selling more seed.

Thanks for the feedback, that's about the exact path we are headed down right now. Seems like we'll be able to get a comparable deal on a different brand, it's still just off-putting to me they'll sit on our cash for 90 days then throw their hands up in the air and say they can't do anything about a seed shortage. Is what it is, will move on from here I suppose. |
