You want their best deal for spot, uncommitted bags and tell them you are patient enough to give the dealer a few days for the dealer to talk through your situation with the his/her DSM.
My guess is that you have >50 % odds that “your deal” will be better than you even think by a decent margin and the brand x DSM wins by leveraging the “generalities of your situation” with all his/her sales reps to get them back out into the country and talking to folks and selling more seed.
