We've had more problems with gelling since the idiots in St. Paul mamdated year-a-round bio-diesel use here in the land of rocks and cows.
Bio-diesel gels at some -20 C or about -5 F IIRC.
That would be a most definite problem and most likely almost impossible to get them to change that for the winter use.
