Wisconsin | Kerosene or gasoline might prevent gelling, but neither will raise the cetane level which is the measure of how easily the fuel ignites, roughly opposite of octane rating. #1 fuel used to be common for gravity oil stoves, so an inner city or small town oil dealer might know where it's available. If not, then use an antigel/cetane booster, and warm the fuel up if you have to. If you're -20, then it will almost have to be inside and warmed up to start, then run until the fuel is above freezing before going outside. | |
