If the subsidy went away or was reduced it doesn’t mean crop insurance wouldn’t exist. It would just be much more expensive any many places. While it has sure helped inflate the ag industry I would say it has had much bigger effects in the less stable producing areas and very little effect in the highly stable areas (low risk areas).
