Subject: RE: Land Prices

Boone Co. Iowa
Land price is at least a little bit to its ability to generate revenue.

Iowa (and other) land prices have been tied to the price of corn and soybeans. We have had great prices last few years. When prices tanked in 2020, the average farmer got subsidies to the tune of 40% of the average income came from the government.

If the world situation changes and we only supply countries that are democracies, we lose a huge market (China) to Brazil.

The value of beans will go down, as will the value of corn (and the land).

We get another President/EPA administration that helps a Big Oil to the detriment of ethanol, along with loss of China exports, land prices will reflect price of corn and beans.

Don’t see government stepping in to help the next generation of farmers - value of corn and beans lessens with energy and trade policies…..
