Here in SE Iowa the 350 Legend might just be replacing a slug gun. No need to reach out there a ways around here.

A .350 legend put these 3 giant Iowa white tails down pretty much where they stood. My grandson is a very good shot though, and put ‘em all right where they needed to be. 75-120 yards. All that being said though, unless it’s for a kid, or you have zero tolerance for recoil, there’s now a myriad of better choices available in Iowa that are now legal to retire the old slug gun. Personally, I’m not in the “double lung and let ‘em run” camp, and prefer to center punch the shoulder with a bullet that can drive in there deep and break both shoulders, anchoring them right there. With little blood splattered meat. A .358 Win or .35 REM is just about ideal for this. With very tolerable recoil. I admit, when the Legend was introduced, I kinda fell for all the early hype surrounding its announcement at the SHOT show. Until I dug a little deeper into its actual ballistics. Hardly the 200 yard killing machine it was touted as being on announcement.
