| This hunt will primarily be on horseback. The thought of a long barreled, scoped, bolt gun in a scabbard has about zero appeal to me. There’s a special “Big Woods bucks” edition 7600 that comes with a peep sight and carbine length 18 1/2” barrel. I’d use it just as it is. And they shoot better than you give them credit for. And if I would need to give him another round for good measure, I can cycle a pump a lot faster than I can a bolt. Back home, unless it’s really cold, I like to crawl up in a tree stand for deer. That 7600 be about a perfect little tree stand gun. I don’t have to buy anything, I already have rifles I could take. Just, I’m in the mood for another rifle, and this is a good excuse to buy something different from what I already have.
