N Middle Tn | I agree with your comments everybody wants to be a packer without planning. I built my small plant based on just the things in your comments. Planning is key I live in cow/calf country and no one even knows what a finished animal looks like. I have spoke with people in my country that want to build a 100 hd per day plant and the first question is where are you going to get the supply chain. Thier response is there are lots of cows here. I have tried to explain that it takes feed and time to get the right kind of cattle. | |
