IIRC its only when temperature dip under -20C (-4F) that feeding gets more expensive.
I would agree that when its colder than -35C (-31F) gain is going to be hampered.
Those kind of conditions don't usually last that long.
Feedlot alley also has things usually on the dry side so they just don't fight mud much - - - - you know that stuff you have right now I think.
Here - - - I think if we get any wetter right now - - - - we just might start floating away - - LOL.
