| I agree on that - Simplicities cut like no other. I run a Sunstar - their big, heavy garden tractor from about the mid 80's to the mid 90's. Built like a dang tank - and that is why I bought it. My lawn is far from "groomed" and most mortal riders would only last me a few years before falling apart. The Legacy series are their current heavy duty garden tractor.
Whatever you buy, you most definitely want hydrostatic drive if you buy a conventional rider. Hydraulic deck lift and power steering make the job much more pleasant as well.
One of my winter projects a few years ago was a home built 3 point hitch. The factory parts sell for over $400 on ebay, so I built my own. I had an old Brinly plow and fabricated a hitch to go onto the 3 point. Works great and keeps mama happy!
