| I like our ZTR Grasshopper we have. The only probem mowing buffalo grass is the fact that it is dirty/dusty and the mower deck is infront of you kicking everything up. Even with the side discharge you get pretty dirty when the wind blows (pretty much a given here). Its pretty fun to run once you get the hang of it.
The deck has an electric/hydraulic lift that raises the deck up vertically so you can clean it or change blades quickley with out jacking it up.
Ours is gas but they have a diesel also. wish we would have went with the diesel but it was more expensive.
Got it from Ricks Rental/lumber 3 or 4 years ago and all we have done is change the oil, grease and a new set of blades.
