South-central Nebraska | These same fields would have been considered uniform a year ago. Lots of complaints in our area this year about residue, especially in flat/no-till conditions. The wind really made a mess in bean, corn and wheat fields. This morning we are still waiting for rain, keep missing even the small showers.
I don't see a real consensus from the replies so far. I'm not a big Yetter fan but getting rid of them at this point may not make a difference. Would simply changing from the Shark tooth blade to a finger blade make a difference in residue movement, less dirt moving? Some of you swear by the Shark over the finger.
Jim, I'm still kicking myself for not going with the Dawn residue movers. I would have gone with the fixed set-up. But, as mentioned before JD has a love affair with Yetter. | |
