Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot | That is a good long span. The largest barn I can think of is 52' clearspan under wood. They are very solid (although I don't think engineered) trusses. Poles are nothing fancy, but barn looks and acts solid enough. I've been in it in a good wind and it doesen't sway any. Did notice the trusses have lots of extra plywood caps on all the joints on the trussess, that seems like a good idea for any of them really. I guess I wouldn't be afraid of it as long as I trusted the builder. Big poles wouldn't hurt either.
I do really like it over even an ordinary 5 wide (45') barn. Can do three rows of two, or other combos. 60' you should be able to go 7 wide, which is even nicer. Lot of sideload, 2 wide, barns around here, theory being you can seperate different lots of hay out in the barn. I like a wider clearspan barn myself as if you can stack straight you can do the same thing without all the damn poles in the way. Those sideload barns are stout however.
