I think that placing all the needed fertlizer in the row would work well with strip till. We have yet to try strip till but some farmers around have had decent yields with it. I was thinking with strip till all I could put what was needed in the fall for fertlizer n-p-k and use starter with the planter and spread the work load out and have all in the row and use less fertlizer. Just some rambling thoughts before church.
