I have had great success with the millings, I have had millings striaght from the highway milling projects and I have had millings from a plant where they grind up asphalt chunks(pulverized). The best results were the pulverized millings, more fines and less chunks. I used 10 loads to do the drive to the house and some is too thin but where I applied it properly it is holding up well.
I am most interested in what will happen this summer when I build up the thin areas. I hope the second layer bonds well to the first layer.
I haven't heard of any groundwater contamination from millings. Although there are petroleum products involved and I pretty much know where my millings have originated. None were from hazmat facilities........................Time will tell,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Joe
