In western ND RR is the best thing that happened to corn since hybridization. Soil applied chemicals have carry over concerns, are weak on certain weeds (wild oats) and don't always work because of dry weather. Also, the RR tech fee cost is lower for us because we only drop 16-20k seeds/acre, whereas conventional pre and post chemicals cost us the same per acre as they do in the corn belt. Here is my RR corn program: The first pass gets RU, 4-6oz dicamba, and 12oz atrazine. The second pass gets RU and 2-5oz Status if needed.
