Southern IA | Anybody still do it on any large scale? My dad and grandfather used to feed a few hundred head in portable houses and setup fence every year out on crop ground, hauled water to them and all. Hauled ear corn out to them in manure spreader. All this mud with the cows getting me down gets me to thinking things could be a lot worse. I can't imagine outdoor hogs with all this rain we've been getting. I don't know of anyone that raises hogs on dirt anymore, used to see some when driving places, but can't say I've seen any in 10 years or more. | |
