The issue here is cost of parking stalls. The issue here is the ability to cover the cost of transit for students. Taxing parking stalls is just another way to redistribute the costs from the student who drives to the student who rides the bus. Redistributing costs of the lower into the higher is redistributing wealth.
And for the record, a lot of kids work, and work darn hard, to have a vehicle in high school, to insure, to put fuel in it etc. |
