| If I remember correctly our school district got buses when I was a freshman. Then it was a novelty to ride the bus and nearly every kid in school did, except those that lived in town or just a mile or two out of town. I lived about 15 minutes from town by car but road the bus morning and evening about an hour and a half each way. Now the school parking lot is full of cars and the only ones that ride the bus are the lower grade school kids.
