Subject: RE: rural school question

“These are the times that try men's souls.”
Our school district had to pay a parent to haul one kid thirty miles one way to school, the run the bus took. That family made enough money every month to make car payment just from mileage payment. The biggest problem is which parents to do you trust with your kids? Also do they have the commitment to be on time to get your kid to school? Would the insurance companies insure your car if you was hauling kids to school and back? If you take payment from school to haul kids, I'm sure insurance company would raise rates or cancel you.

It's seems so simple to fix, yet it's not. It really burned me to see that family make money off school district to haul their own kid to school, cheaper to do that than in end up in court in a lawsuit.
