I suspect I failed to make my point clear. There was no intent to suggest that he should not move out. My point was that there is an existing relationship which would necessarily be dramatically changed if he did move out, and that would have it's own issues which may need to be dealt with, if some consideration wasnt given to the possible ramifications. The suggestion was to think a little beyond the obvious. But maybe it's just me. Probably is..I'm used to living my life seemingly out of step with the world.
