The Douglas Fir floor I made from the tornado that blew that tree down in my yard made a floor for our dining room that will always stand out. It is unique and I think it is beautiful.
We have used oak and other woods for our home but the natural pecan floors that were laid in this house after it was built in the 1880's really stand out, too.
There are three northern pecan trees left in the yard.
