Springhill,Kentucky | We are getting ready to put down hardwood floors in a large portion of our home..The flooring is actually homemade,a very large yellow poplar blew down during a storm at my dad's place..We logged that tree up and hauled the logs to the local Amish..They sawed it up into full 1x6 flooring,kiln dried it,tongue and grooved it,stress reliefed it,and planed it..We plan to install ourselves..Maybe not for some,but for us there is a lot of sentimental value to it because of where it came from and how it came about.. | |
