West Central Alberta Coldest, wettest edge | jreiser, I agree, most of the past ten years were inflationary by any definition. The past 2 years, and likely the next few would be deflationary by most definitions. Govs are good at dealing with inflation( well, at least they can't do too much more damage) but not so good with deflation. So far, they have chosen to take tax money from the few remaining productive areas of the economy, and give it to the unproductive businesses and big government, and call it stimulus spending. All it stimulates is productive businesses and entrepreneurs to think twice about investing in the real economy. Lower investment, leads to lower prices, lower tax revenue, leads to lower expenditures, and higher taxes, leads to less investment........... During a deflationary spiral, no one wants to buy anything, knowing that it will be cheaper tomorrow, while everyone wants to sell for the same reason, even harder to stop than the inflationary bubble that just burst.
Are there any inputs or outputs that you have that are more expensive now than they were in the peak around 2008? |
