Pittsburg, Kansas | I knew farming was what I wanted to do by fifth grade.
Bought my first new tractor (JD 3020D) the summer between 8th grade and starting freshman year in high school at 13. Hired summer help the next year for custom haying business at 14.
Some start earlier than others. I also retired earlier than most though. Guess I could be called an early starter and early quitter. :-)
Depends on the kid.
