Gotta live more frugally than the other guys… Small house, no new pick ups and SUV’s, SxS etc… Gotta be efficient day to day… Older equipment, town job, pack your lunch every day, work on your own stuff.. If I didn’t do all these things it would be difficult to make land payments… I like land payments to a degree, makes me not spend money on silly stuff…
Sorry, but being frugal doesn’t cut it anymore. 15k land appreciating at 3% per year ( which we all know is low) appreciated 450/acre the first year. You cannot out save that, the inflation has outran the ability to save. Unless you make 500k+ a year, you have to have something that makes you money while you sleep (ie land, investments, a business). There is no hourly job in America that will make this happen anymore, taxes and cost of living eat up too much of the wage, let alone the inflation of homes and land. |
