southern Alberta | Lots of good hotels in Med Hat. If you want to avoid Calgary you could still cut off and do the 541/ 40 route into mountains. It will get you off 4 lane and onto 2 lane hwys. Lots of hiking in Banff/ Canmore area. Lake Louise is beautiful. There is a trail around lake. Check out Banff Springs Hotel & Château Lake Louise, old railroad built hotels. Ski hills have hiking & biking trails. Gondola on Tunnel mountain. Well be elk around Banff townsite usually. Be prepared for lots of people around everywhere you go. | |
