Here grazing stalks is rare it’s all fall tillage and spring field cultivated. Not so much beef here. Grazing the stalks helps eliminate one tillage pass in fall obviously, but probably want to do 2 light passes in spring. Less plant material from the grazing does help getting a good seedbed tho. Two light passes probably uses less fuel than the heavy fall pass so that helps. Trying to get the ground dry in spring, the hoof prints might help some with that as well.
None of this helps the original poster tho, it’s so different there.
