Maybe. My diesel experience is low as I run natural gas and it doesn’t require the same level of precision that diesel does on the fuel. I set injectors too tight on the one big cam diesel in my kw many years ago and the fallout was severe but it ran for several loads of corn before it locked the camshaft up ruining the cam and block. I’d say you’ve had a too tight injector pushrod or something wrong with the cam follower on the suspect cylinder. At the time I did the diesel you Set the lash at I think 6 inch/lbs and I didn’t understand the significance of doing it wrong.

Yes sir. Set injector first at 72”lbs or 6’lbs, then exhaust and intake.
