Yes, cam came out. Cam has to come out, to change the cam key, in relation to the cam gear. I had an experienced Cummins guy run the OH.


Which time?

.035 for CPL 160. The original timing was .050 for CPL 217 and when we pulled the cam, it was immaculate. When we first started the truck it was running smooth, a little smoke but nothing out of the norm and it cleared up rather quickly. I didn’t run it but 30 seconds at the most because I didn’t have coolant in it yet. Didn’t have the jakes on yet either but had rocker box plugged for Jake oil supply. So, something has happened since adding the radiator/coolant, jakes and I don’t know what it is but it’s sure got me stumped.
