ECMN | Where did the cam come from? Is this the same engine as in the Jan. 9 post linked by Shimmy that came down due to a problem on cylinder 2? Were all these upgrade all added during an in-frame, so cam never came out? Don’t know about these 855s but popping in an engine is often a sign of a wasted cam lobe/lack of valve travel. Dial indicate the push rod travel and compare cylinders 1 & 2. If this is the problem my guess would be if an experienced Cummins guy would have set the overhead he would have noticed this.
