Running the overhead, adjusting valves and injectors lash, is a separate operation from camshaft timing. If camshaft timing was not done correctly injectors won’t be timed correctly yet overhead can still be set.
I understand that and if that were the case then these symptoms should have show themselves on the first startup. If this were the case wouldn’t multiple cylinders be giving trouble?
