| I think it depends on location. In western range country with few people houses or little traffic its probably much less of a big deal and easier to round up cattle when they have no place to hide in a endless see of grass. In the east where the majority of the land is corn fields, housing, woods and roads its a much bigger deal when cows get out. Not to mention a 1000 acre fenced in piece of land the cows are going to be coming in contact with the fence far less than 10 acres...
