The house I live in is 1500 square feet, when it was built there were 3 kids at home, everyone survived.

It's legal for kids to share a room.

My opinion, as a Conservative Old Guy--IF you have all the money saved up, MAYBE go ahead with it. If you would have to borrow the money, think long and hard before you commit.

You can rent a larger space somewhere for family events. "Here", you can rent the town hall for a nominal amount.
