Linux will run fine on the same physical disk with windows but need to be in a separate partition. I know that mint and ubuntu can the create the partition when installing. I suspect other distros do as well.
If the target computer has a tpm the tpm has to be disabled in bios. All computers sold with windows 11 have a tpm.
