Subject: RE: Eating at home or going out

West of Mpls MN about 50 miles on Hwy 12
My wife and I have adopted the same business model. We actually ate "out" more during the covid "lockdown" than we ever had in the past and have not changed our dining out habit since. We dine out at least two times/week.

Around here, several mom and pop owned eating places try to source some of their food items like meat and seasonally grown veggies from local sources like dittfarms.

One evening I had ordered a burger that has a fried egg included as a topping. The local grill/bar we chose that evening had ran out of eggs. I really had my heart set on that burger. So I made a quick trip down the street to the locally owned grocery store and bought the grill/bar a dozen eggs produced by a local egg producer and "donated" the eggs to the grill/bar. In turn I received a "free" beer....and was hailed a hero by other patrons.
