We eat out to socialize and to support other small town business owners and their employees that support our small town businesses. I thought the $8.00 dollar cheeseburger "meal" was a little spendy for what we got at the local baseball game the other night...oh well, at least the $4.00 beers were cold and the conversation was fun and good for mind, body, and soul.
Bingo. I had this mindset a long time ago, but have doubled down. We actually have gotten more restaurant food during and since the Covid insanity, even at times when all we could get was takeout we were supporting locally owned restaurants and bars several times a week. Thank God most of them made it through here, I can't imagine how hard it was for those people in places that were far more tyrannical with their lockdowns.
