Subject: RE: Eating at home or going out

My wife and I went to Red lobster the other day. Including tip it was just over $100. Food was Ok but no any better than a Petromart burrito.
I am cutting down on the pop when I stop to get a quick bite at the mini mart. I am a true addict but at $2.79 a bottle, I can take a chance on withdrawal. Still seems to take about $8.00 on average.
My wife likes the places like that. I get frustrated as a good burger or steak along with baked potatoes and salad is hard to beat.
She just won't go to a place that makes them good and will not let me do them at home.
The TV marketing really works. We have to buy baking potatoes for $2.50 each, instead of 5 lbs for less than that.. Hamburger us to expensive at $3.00 a pound but mac and cheese mix at $4 for 12 ounces is cheap.
She buys the now 6 oz package of ham for $3,89 instead of ham from the case at $2.99 a pound.
