Most 40 cow dairies I've known give their cows names. I don't think you give a commodity names. And yes, keeping cattle comfortable does improve profits. Maybe that would apply to feedlots also?
Jim you seem to be a retired engineer or teacher. Not sure which one but you are definitely one of them. Again I will say hobby farms don’t care about paying the bills. Your operation falls into that category. How you’ve come to think you can speak for other operations and there business is beyond me.
To summarize your points:
Anyone over 100 cows doesn’t care about the well-being of the animals. Any organic producer or anyone under 100 cows cares for there animals and they are not a commodity. Got it.
