Not at all. My original question stands.

Do I agree with seeing mile after mile of feedlot fats in lots without shade in the summer heat as along the road in Greeley, CO? Obviously not.

But if one sees those fat cattle as a "commodity" rather than "livestock" that explains how corporations can create this type of meat factory, much as an elevator would stack #2 corn out in the sun.

Meadowlands Beef made one of the more insightful replies in this thread with his quote from Thoreau.

"To borrow from Thoreau:  The perception of "commodity" is a moral test."
