wow, Dutch i figured that setup would really bake down in your area. Maybe your soil isnt like i thought it was. I tried those for a few years and couldnt keep it from baking with them. My ground is really sandy and any moist dirt left on top of the ground will turn to cement in a few hours. This is what i use and cannt say enough good things about them in any condition conventional, no-till. black dirt or sand they work great for me.
