The problem lies in the fact the peoples will is not equally balanced amongst the states. One senator in Wyoming represents 290,000 people. One senator in California represents 19,000,000. Why should the will of 1 person in Wyoming mean more than 65 California people
Do you really want the whole country to be run like California and New York? Just look at Nebraska they have a one house legislature that's basically run by the two biggest cities and they have some of the highest farm property taxes in the nation. |
