That must be the way custom harvester from Kansas did back then. My Dad started custom harvesting when I was 12. I ran the combine, it was a 26 Massey Harris, and Dad hauled the wheat. I actually started running the combine a couple of years earlier on a 21A Massey Harris. That was just on our own farm though.
