We are not using a grain cart scale, we are using a "non-portable farm scale"

The original post was about grain cart documentation not non portable farm scales. From your first few posts you made it sound like there was no problem with handwritten notes from the grain cart with your crop insurance. That is not the case with my crop insurance company. Yes some of the rules are plumb silly but they must be there for a reason. I am sure there are people who do fudge or cheat and that is why the rules are in place.

With that said by no means am I calling you dishonest or a cheat PB. I just wanted to clarify that.

I personally refrain from doing business with commercial elevators with handwritten tickets. Wheather done intentionally or inadvertantly it is to easy to get a couple of numbers mixed up or switched. I really dont like it when the numbers get scratched out and a new weight is on the same ticket. We dont worry about that anymore because all elevators here now have printed tickets.
